Visiting Our Club

There are many world-class attractions of Dallas, and they are just what you expect:  amazingly big, breathtaking and overwhelming!  There’s so much to see and do in Dallas that it becomes challenging to make selections to cover several days.

When Ambassadors come, we offer a program from the following list of activities. There is not enough time to do everything on the list.  We ask the Journey Coordinator of the visiting club about the members’ interests so we can offer some activities they would enjoy.  A good start is to review several websites noted throughout this page.

During our inbound journeys, we introduce visitors to Dallas sights such as:

  • Arts District (The Dallas Museum of Art, Winspear Opera House, Nasher Sculpture Garden, Dallas Performing Arts Center, Trammel Crow Museum of Asian Art)
  • Reunion Tower (revolving deck)
  • Dallas World Aquarium
  • Perot Science Museum
  • Klyde Warren Park
  • Victory Plaza Area

We try to include any events that may be occurring during your visit.  Possible events include Dallas Holiday Parade, Dallas Blooms, Dallas International Film Festival, Riverfront Jazz Festival, Taste of Dallas, and of course, The Texas State Fair which runs for 24 days in September-October.

Other possibilities are Dallas Arboretum (definitely world class!), Trinity Rivery Audubon Center, the Dallas Zoo or Fossil Rim Wildlife Center.   Nearby Fort Worth offers the Cowgirl Hall of Fame, the Stockyards, Kimball Art Museum, Bass Hall, Japanese Garden, Bureau of Printing & Engraving, and Sundance Square & Water Garden.

Individual or day hosts often include a trip to a flea market, local parks or hiking trails, concerts such as jazz, pop or classical music, country western dancing, numerous specialty and international restaurants and of course, there’s always shopping.

Dallas offers something for everyone and new things for all.   Come see what Dallas/Ft. Worth is about.  Texas hospitality is what our Club is proud to offer to all who visit.  Come and sit a spell; see what the fuss is all about.

The possibilities are endless when looking up historical sites such as Founders Plaza, Bath House Cultural Center, The Wilson District, Dallas Heritage Park and the George W Bush Presidential Museum. No trip to Texas is complete without the Old West in Fort Worth or a stop at the famous site of Southfork, as it was known in the TV series Dallas.  Let’s not forget the world-famous Dallas Cowboys Football team and their home in the AT&T stadium.  It’s worth a trip to not only to see the stadium but take a guided art tour through the stadium as well!

Dallas Weather Guide

Average temperatures in Dallas vary drastically.   Dallas’ weather is in the 35th percentile for pleasant weather compared to other tourist destinations and less temperate than many.  Visitors are welcome anytime, but we recommend March through May or September through November for the best weather.  Air conditioning is a must in the summer months, making summer months a good choice for indoor activities!
